I was born in October of 1967 in  Athens, Texas and have been in East Texas all of my life. I attended Eustace Elementary School through second grade and then transferred to Canton after we moved to Phalba. I am married to Larry "Wrench" Keeling and have been for 24 years. We have one son, Brandon age 13.

Throughout my childhood, my family did not attend church or even talk about God.  It wasn't until after son was born that God really began to cross my mind. From the beginning I wanted him in a "Christian" daycare and school.  I would even help him memorize bible verses but that still did not get through to me.  I was  one of those parents who would send their children to church with the neighbors because Sunday was "my" day.  My son was a good witness to me and I know I had dear friends who were praying that I would see the light.

In July of 2004, I lost my father who was my "world".  My life began spiraling out of control at that point, dealing with grief, financial problems and failing marriage.  I tried to fix it with alcohol but nothing would work.  I would go to bed at night wishing I was dead.

Finally, in July, 2005, we moved to Phalba and I was determined to get my life together and take my son to church. We started attending Purtis Creek Baptist Church and after only a couple of visits I was hooked.  I got saved and baptized and within several months was offered the role of adult Sunday School teacher and pianist.  My husband had not yet been fully converted and he did not attend church with us for several more years.  Finally, he got baptized and is now part of our church family.  Glory be to God!

Purtis Creek Baptist is now Property of God Ministries, a part of Grace Fellowship Ministry in Kentucky.  I was honored to  be invited to be ordained as a Pastor/Teacher and I look forward to continuing to serve my Lord and Savior in whatever role He calls me to.

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him

and He shall direct your path"- Proverbs 3:5
